When I was 11 years old, I dislocated my shoulder while playing my favorite sport, football. During my recovery, I was significantly less active and gained unhealthy weight as well as developed sedentary habits. This cycle continued for four years and I found myself overweight, sedentary, and unfulfilled. I knew that I had to make a positive change. The change I needed started in 2010,  the summer before my freshman year of high school. I used my love for football to lead my lifestyle change. Through preparing for the upcoming football season with my dad, I vastly improved my fitness level and lost a substantial amount of weight. The following Summer, a local gym offered a free summer membership for teens. I took advantage of this opportunity and I continued to transform my body. These experiences led me to realize that I wanted to become a personal trainer and help others achieve their fitness goals too.
